Rick Marshall

With over 30 years of experience in the field of entertainment, Rick has a rich history. He studied jazz vocal and bass guitar at Morehead State University where he received his B.A. in Business. Before starting Platinum and Marshall Entertainment, Rick worked as bassist and lead vocalist for many of the Tri-state’s top groups. With this experience, he has developed a standard of excellence that serves as a benchmark in music management. Rick takes great pride in the uncompromising service he gives to each client. Rick lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
Deborah Pacheco
Lead vocals
A vocal music instructor for 13 years, Deborah Pacheco, currently teaches at Clark County Schools in Winchester, Kentucky. She started performing in college with the renowned accapella jazz group called “Et Cetera” in which she spent time recording albums and adjudicating jazz competitions. You can find her work with this group on the successful UNC Hot XII jazz album. She then spent five years performing in the jazz show group “Song Spinners” in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As well as singing with Platinum, she also records and performs background vocals for Christian artist Trish Torline. Deborah has sung for many jazz festivals, charity events; the Denver Bronco’s and performed the national anthem and other patriotic songs for events around the city.
Barry Lewis
Vocals, Guitar, Keyboard
“Powerhouse” is the only way to describe the force of one of the finest, most multi-talented players on stage today. Barry has all the tools of a triple threat. Skilled in guitar, keyboard, and vocals he is the driving force of Platinum and is truly the key to its success. Without him, Platinum would be just another band. Barry has over 35 years of experience on stage and it shows through every time you see him perform. Barry lives in Maysville, Kentucky.
Geno Manley
Drums, Percussion
It seems as if Geno has spent the better part of his life with a pair of drumsticks in his hands. He grew up playing in high school & college bands, orchestras, & ensembles. By age fifteen Geno began playing professionally. Throughout the years he has worked with a number of musicians in a multitude of settings, ranging from country to hard rock, with the occasional polka thrown in for good measure. Also, Geno's father was a professional drummer for many years, so you might just say "...it's in the Genes"! Geno resides in Maysville, KY.
Ken Jared
Keyboards
Ken has over 20 years experience as a keyboardist and pianist. Playing extensively for the New Unity Baptist Church, he comes to Platinum with a background in Jazz, Blues, and Gospel music. He’s a stand out player with the ability to perform alone or with a full ensemble. Ken lives in Independence, Kentucky.
Jason Petrie
Trumpet, Flugelhorn, and Auxiliary Percussion
Jason is an In-Demand Trumpet player in the Huntington WV Tri-State area with 19 years of experience. He performs a wide variety of musical styles including Big Band, Swing, Classical, and Rock and Roll.
Jason has also played for many well known musicals including Carnival, 1940’s Radio Hour, and Fame.
While pursuing a degree in Music Education and Performance at Marshall University, Jason performed Principal chair with the main Jazz Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Orchestra, and Marching Band. He has played with many great jazz artists as well as with The Bob Hope Orchestra, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, and Lynard Skynard.
David Hummel
Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Auxiliary Percussion
David is one of the top trumpet players in Lexington. He enjoys playing a variety of musical styles from Dixieland and Big Band to Salsa, Jazz, and Rock & Roll. You can even find him playing classical music for weddings and church services. David recently completed a CD with his own Jazz Octet, featuring his arrangements of Frank Sinatra and Chet Baker tunes. During the day, David is as a sales representative for Hurst Music in Lexington, Kentucky. He also stays busy teaching a middle school band part time and maintaining a studio of private students. He loves playing with Platinum! David lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
Jeff Carter
Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet
Jeff Carter has been entertaining audiences since 1987. A graduate of Morehead State University, Jeff has performed “One-Night Stands” with such acts as: The Temptations, The Drifters, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Percy Sledge, The Coasters, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, The Boxtops, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, and has worked as Music Director for Bob Newhart. Jeff is also an accomplished Composer & Arranger. He has written music for The Bob Newhart Orchestra & The 202nd Army National Guard Band. He has recently released a catalouge of 6-Horn arrangements that is becoming well received by wedding bands from coast-to-coast. Jeff plays saxophone & doubles on flute & clarinet.
